Child Abuse And Supportive Families

We are suddenly hearing all this hype about depression. It appears to be the latest band wagon to jump on. Well in eyes of sales and marketing, we have seen nothing less than just that. Twenty Million prescriptions of ritalin in Australia in one year, that is enough to give every man woman and child in that country a sky rocketing hit that will inevitably rebound with the "coming down" that is followed by all drug taking. Or is this what they call "depression"? The cure is often worth than the course. So what is the course? Let's firstly define depression. One Look Dictionary defines Depression as follows: 1.sad feelings of gloom and inadequacy. 2.a mental state characterized by a pessimistic sense of inadequacy and a despondent lack of activity. But most basically in the physical universe it is defined as: "pushing down". So why would someone have a " a mental state characterized by a pessimistic sense of inadequacy"?
